Reducing Anger in Adolescents: An REBT Approach (curriculum)

Reducing Anger in Adolescents: An REBT Approach (curriculum)

By Robert Adelman, Ph.D.
Adolescents involved with substance abuse can be resistant, impulsive, and self-centered. This evidence-based program helps you open the door to verbal interventions that are nonconfrontational, proactive, and collaborative.
This easy-to-follow program draws on the empirically based treatment modality of REBT. The instructional design makes progress measurable for clinicians and learning enjoyable for adolescent clients.
The curriculum includes client handouts (in print and on CD-ROM), a nine-minute video on CD-ROM, and a facilitator manual packaged in a three-ring binder.
The facilitator manual helps you apply REBT techniques and introduces a group process to help teens integrate REBT into their recovery and lives. The facilitator manual is also available with a Post test worth 10 CE hours.
For its proven effectiveness, this program received in 2004 the Joint Commission Ernest A. Codman Award in the behavioral health category.
